I have to disagree on some of that. The sum of who I am today is mostly from video games I have played as I grew up. Every book I have ever read and used has been total shit, and very little of the book is applicable in real life. If you want to aspire and learn you have to find an outlet you find entertaining to do, if you are bored reading a book you will never learn and thus that route is not advisable to take.
IQ: 120-135
Completed Degree GPA: 3.87
Talking from experience, as long as you love doing something you will learn from it, and video games can provide a diverse experience where you can draw a lot of knowledge from!

IQ Does Not Measure PERSONALITY!!!
I have some really academically smart and rather hot chicks in my classes, but frankly they aren't WOMEN!! they still act like high school girls.
Its like " I like you, you're smart and pretty, but your personality is horrible, i would not want to sit down across from you for an hour and half and have dinner with you".
Not to mention the one time i went out with one of them she made both of us look bad in front of the Commonwealth club( went ballistic at the Moderator for not calling on her during questions) I had to go up and apologize afterwards, because that's what a gentleman does.

So what is considered a genius IQ score? Generally, any score over 140 is counted as a high IQ. A score over 160 is considered by many to be a genius IQ score. Scores that are 200 and over are often referred to as "unmeasurable genius."
That is what I got taught in school rofl.
But meh, IQ tests are overrated, the mensa test is much nicer! Rofl :p

i believe there is a general understanding that
high IQ = high chances of success in life.
which is untrue when neglecting other variables like perseverance (Adversity Quotient), social skill/empathy (Emotional Quotient/EQ), or external values like environment, family upbringing.
not sure why it is a huge deal to have a high IQ. they pick things up faster maybe?
anyway this is an interesting case.

Quote:Maths genius Andrew Halliburton’s teachers predicted he would make a fortune in computers or banking.
He was so bright he went to secondary school four years early and was just 14 when he scored an A in his maths Higher – the Scottish equivalent of an A-Level.
But eight years on, university drop-out Andrew now clears tables in a burger joint for £5.75 an hour.
He told the Mirror: “I feel frustrated. I don’t really know what I want to do with my life. I’ve felt like that for the last four years. What I do is OK but I don’t feel challenged with my work, though I’m fairly content with my life. I think I might study English.”
