thanks again, yeah I saw this site too. My native resolution is 1600x900, can I change it to 1920x1080 full hd?=) and what is better glossy or matte?
You can if your screen supports that size
Agree..and if il be the one to choose, il go to glossy cause its way better when you are outdoor or indirect sunlight cause it has more brightness and contrast although matte dont have reflection when in direct sunlight but it has less brightness and contrast..glossy display looks great also compare to matte screen..
video card is ATI 5870, It supports that size.

Yeah but does your screen support it?

I didn't get what you mean, screen is part that needs to be replaced. So it's still gonna be 17.3 but not 1600x900... it's all about your video chip, in my case it's my video card, yes it does support screen with this resolution.
Yeah i know your GPU can support it, but if the screen does not have enough pixels, it won't display the selected resolution. For example, if your iPhone had that graphics card, it wouldn't be able to display 1080p HD, but rather the max the screen supports.
You should only set the resolution to your screens native resolution.
But I saw many posts on other forums like other people upgrade this exact model with full hd screens.
Just checked the specs, and apparently that computer screen supports 1080p
