I am attempting to get some kind of Source SDK for my MacBook Pro and am curious if anyone has some good knowledge on getting it started and also about server commands (covering some basics along with detailed commands).

You can get to know everything about source SDK and server commands.Just youtube it

ask iSpy. he has been making a lot of maps for sniper server lately

I was messing around with the Portal 2 editor, but it's not nearly as complicated as Hammer... so not sure that'd be much help :/
