Anyone knows what is required to have run a good clan?

There was a good article on SiX forums a long time ago about it, but it was lost.

A little google search led me to this simple basic structure.

Quote:Clan Structure
The following information is to highlight the official clan structure of icU° Gaming. The clan structure and rules can be altered at any time by the clan leader.

The clan structure contains the following ranks:

Clan Leader.

The clan leader has overall control of the clan. Final decisions will rest with the clan leader. Failure to abide by the decisions of the clan leader will result in disciplinarily action or dismissal from the clan.

Administration Team.

The administration team is responsible for the management and maintenance of the clan website and the moderation of the forums.

Division Leaders.

The division leader will decide important division related issues including placement of members within the division structure, planning activities such as scrims and tournaments. The appointment of division leaders will be decided by the clan leader. Again, failure to follow instructions given by the division leaders will result in dismissal from the clan.

Team Leaders

The purpose of a clan is to bring players together into one group. The activities that group engage in can be varied, but the most common activity of a clan is to play scrims against other clans.

Team leaders will be chosen by the division leader. They will be members that have shown ability within the game and have shown that they can work well with other team members to achieve positive outcomes.

[Any member of the clan can be chosen to take part in a clan scrim. This does not make them a full time team member. This allows members of different skill levels to be chosen so that they may gain experience in clan scrims and to learn the strategies the clan uses to play different games, maps and game types]

Of course there's professional clans and just for fun clans/teams. Nevertheless, like any organisation, once a clan has past its "Creative/Novelty" stage, a structure is definitely needed for it to survive long-term.

So anyone has any good input on this?
