Everyone eats toasts, but in different ways with different spreads. My favorites are either a single layer of nutella on each toast with a glass of milk or orange juice, or a layer of butter and a layer of jam/confiture on each toast with a glass of orange juice or unsweetened ice tea (sometimes how earl grey tea).

Right now i'm eating two toasts with a layer of salted margarine on each and rhubarb/raspberry jam on each with a glass of unsweetened lemon ice tea.

I'm from France... nutella on toast is very popular there.


Also, American French Toast on squared pieces of toast tastes nothing like the actual Pain Perdu. We use sliced pieces of baguette most of the time to do it and there's no cinnamon at all.
