I downloaded CS:GO onto my new comp. I got, and whenever I go to load into any thing it crashes to desktop. I've tried changing settings, but when I try to leave the menu it crashes as well. Any suggestions on what to do?

Are there any error messages when it crashes? If possible, post a screenshot.

There aren't any, it just crashes to desktop.

Try right clicking the shortcut and opening properties. Go to the compatibility tab and check "Run this program in compatibility mode" and select your operating system. I think you mentioned it was windows XP--try sp3 or sp2.
