Since vista is running like shit and I can't really handle 7, I was thinking about Ubuntu. Is it worth it? Only games i really play is CS, WoW and runescape. I don't have a high end pc, it's from 2004 lol
Thoughts?
Try not to be biased
Ubuntu is a really good OS imo. I run dual boot with Windows 7 and Ubuntu, and it is usually really easy on system resources so people that are lacking in that usually find it a breath of fresh air. The only problem is that as far as I remember, steam and steam games can't run in without an emulator such as wine. However, I thought there was some sort of project valve was working on, trying to port steam to linux. I'll have to check later if anything came of that :p

yeah, things like that... where some files support linux while some don't, though some programmers have ported for linux version
Linux will not magically make your system perform better, in fact with gaming it's very likely to decrease performance. If your computer is from 2004 use XP.
I used Linux once at my school. I don't think this is an easy OS. Bad Design though. Made me dizzy for the first time using it.
