Just was playing and said I got banned. Dunno if i'll be back anymore but just would like to know why and would like to see any demo if any admin thought I was hacking. If it was just abuse, Kinda wrecked my experience with the server. But any info would be great.

Tek doesn't hack. He was joking around and said "I wall.. i always stand by it?". It was a joke between us(Sol and me).
Naive then banned him, reason was because he admitted it. He then told me that he'll reduce the ban to 3 days if he protests.

The ban gets reduced to 1 month if the person admits to hacking straight away. If they are hacking and protest, they don't get it reduced to 3 days.
But yes, I would like to see this demo.

What he said should be in chat logs on the 24/7 office server, and it is also inside of a demo of another player I was spectating somewhere. When I am sitting in a server taking up my play time demoing ( and have 2 or three suspicious people already to demo ) and someone outright says they are wallhacking.. they don't get the courtesy of me taking 20 minutes to conclude that they are not in fact wallhacking. He said something along the lines of he wallhacks and he would always stand by it. I implied that if he protested and apologized and claimed he was just joking, etc I would reduce it to inappropriate language and make it 3 days.
Seeing as he is gonna start throwing terms like abuse around about this incident, I'm not willing to do that now.. I'll just simply accept it as a confession (which it really seemed to me).

You do realise that people joke about hacking a lot. Especially on that server, the regulars joke about walls and being tryhards and stuff.
Sorry that you feel that you'd be wasting your time spec'ing who you believe to be a potential hacker but....that's your job, bro. No one cares if you're too busy playing, or have spec'd lots of people that day. If you believe someone is hacking, you spec them, make a demo, and ban them accordingly.
No demo, no ban. So provide a demo that's conclusive, and the ban sticks.

When we're on the server, especially on a server with a lot of regulars & admins, we always joke around calling hacks on each other, or saying Aimbot, lol. It's something that we do with each other, and as far as I know, not in violation of inappropriate language. The inappropriate language rule is designed for people: excessively cursing, posting links to hack websites, racial slurs, and personal attacks... Saying you cheat as a joke should never be considered inappropriate language.

Saying you cheat on our servers has always been ban worthy according to Bison, xFerior, everyone I have ever asked about it with since I have been admin. Say it in a forum, ban. say it in game, ban. Say it to me over the phone, ban. We used to trick people into admitting it then ban them. If you walked into a casino and told the dealer you cheat, do you think he is gonna have a laugh and deal you another hand? No. How about if you walk up to a cop and say, hey dude I murder people all the time, think he is gonna have a laugh and say have a good day? Doubt it.
If you say something to an admin about hacking, you damn well better prepare for it to be believed. Especially when it comes to something as hard to definitively prove one way or the other such as wallhacking. Essentially, the only evidence in this protest is him saying he walls and will always stand by it. He has not even denied this! Only other people have for him which is hearsay if we pretend this is a court of law, therefore inadmissible.
By wasting time my time, I mean wasting time looking for evidence when I don't require any more to justify a ban.
Me offering to lower it to only inappropriate language is me being very very nice in my opinion.

I don't think with the new rules, them stating they cheat is enough to ban.
And if you did that in a casino, they would take you aside, check you for cheating devices, and then let you play. If they kick you out without for that, they'd be faced with a lawsuit.

Um, I don't know what fantasy world you live in but claiming to cheat in a casino will get you a life ban from the premise at minumum (I mentioned casino specifically, because this happens in casinos according to my dealer friends). It's private property and they can't be sued for not serving you as long as it isn't race, religeon, etc.
Also, I think we have even had admins lose admin over similar things to this in the past.
