With this much downtime we could have changed IPs, colocate in a different datacenter, got a temporary VSP, etc.. The rumor of this being simply a funding issue sounds more like it IMO.

We already changed IPs and the servers were moved to Texas. These new servers are somewhat DDoS proof.

Lemme underline 'Somewhat', you can live in or near Texas and you'll still be getting 100 latency.
