RE: Re: Clan Tags without steam on CSS - xFerior - Apr 12 2011

M. Bison was able to do it o_o
I would try but i am too damn lazy to download Setti CSS. lol. Cuz i have steam and the steamclient.dll isn't in the bin folder, and there are like 5 other dll's with that name, and again, i am too lazy to find out which one controls clan tags. lol

Really? :3 I gotta ask him how!

RE: Re: Clan Tags without steam on CSS - xFerior - Apr 12 2011

Lol yeah. Do you know how to hex edit? lol

RE: Re: Clan Tags without steam on CSS - naive - Apr 12 2011

I tried unpacking steamclient.dll w/ PE Explorer and it failed. Did you manage to get it unpacked M. Bison? Is it still in this dll even?

RE: Re: Clan Tags without steam on CSS - xFerior - Apr 12 2011

Hey naive, what clan tag do you want?

A bit, yeah. Big Grin I was able to find a "revcrew" in steam.dll, so I made a backup of it then changed it to W-L. CSS wouldn't open, so that didn't work. I read on cs.rin.ru forums that it's really hardcoded or something. :3

I've been thinking about getting SmartSteam instead. Cracked steam Wink. I might reinstall Steam and download CSS from scratch, then ask M. Bison to migrate everything to the new steam ID; but I'm lazy to do that, so meh.

RE: Re: Clan Tags without steam on CSS - xFerior - Apr 12 2011

Lol yeah, its Valve makes their things real hardcoded. Haven't tried it, but the fact that there are no tutorials online for it probably means its really difficult, so i probably can't do it. Big Grin

RE: Re: Clan Tags without steam on CSS - iArvee - Apr 16 2011

I've got the gcf's I need to download the latest version of CS:S on cracked steam, though I'm so lazy to do that. Can anyone enlighten me the advantages of having steam? I used the cracked steam before because that's the only way I could use HLDJ (for my sound clips like "Rawket Lawnchair" etc) until I got lazy to download the new gcf's for the new CS:S. I later found out a way to use HLDJ without steam, so I proceeded on with non-steam.

RE: Re: Clan Tags without steam on CSS - xFerior - Apr 16 2011

Well you can add friends, use the in game browser, have immediate updates, access to 4,000 more servers, and you need Steam CS:S if you ever get into leagues. Also all ur data is synced so ur steamID is the same no matter what computer u install it on, and all ur config's are the same, like ur crosshair size and binds and such.

M. Bison Wrote:The dll which contains the default clan tag is packed so unfortunately you can't edit it with a hex editor unless you manage to unpack it.

Do you know/met me I'm [RevCrew]ADIGA
