4gig memory is plenty, its what Ive installed on my mom's computer and it plays left for dead 1 and 2
Intel Quad Core 2.33gz is good enough for her ^_^ ( Quad core cause she likes to have many windows open at a time and forgets to close them -.-)

[*] Same as motherboard, i don't remember what Ive bought her but base on customer reviews and such you can find somethin, I suck at picking good motherboards so someone else can suggest

Side note: Case, Motherboard, and cpu were part of a barebones kit so I can skip all the wires.
Now case and rest of the stuff is up to you. I'd recommend to buy a tempt gauge tho unless your pro at figuring out problems right away, ive had the fan on her graphics card go out. Lucky I seen the temp over 50 and knew there was a problem with the temp.

Bought that recently and before this ive only had experience of putting together barebones computers. And compare to both motherboards the rampage has labels for things but in the end I have wires that I do not know where it goes =D.
