You can run them on just about any quad core assuming its 3.0 ghz+ and you have the know how of to OC it. I'd also recommend going AMD on the cpu/mobo/gfx if you're going for a budget build. Get an FX 8xxx series cpu and whatever am3+ mobo suits your needs. It'll save money here and there and you can throw it into a better graphics card. If your mobo can handle it as well switch the 2x4gb ram for 4x2gb.
Problem is I truely dislike AMD seeing and prefer Intel and anyways, i'm not getting it before 2 months ( december ) so i'll figure out my exact budget sooner or later.

I've never had problems with AMD and there's no reason to dislike nvidia or AMD. AMD builds more affordable/better bang for you buck parts whereas Nvidia will wait a little longer, up the price, and give you slightly more than AMD did. But hey, that's just like your preference man, and you can spend the extra money.

word, why hate AMD?

Because my laptop is AMD and i'm truely disapointted Smile.

RE: Want to build a PC [Need Help] - HoboBob - Oct 28 2012

AMD doesn't build laptops. Dollar for dollar AMD is better than Nvidia and will still replace faulty products just like Nvidia and Intel. No company has a 0% failure rate on their products going out. I've had problems with Nvidia, Intel, and AMD and it's always different and it's always been replaced. I'm just trying to let you know that AMD is by far the superior budget builder's cpu/gpu choice and you can get the same thing as Intel or Nvidia for less.

Hmmm, I mean my gfx cards and my cpu is from AMD, but alright then if AMD can really fit better my needs, can you please make me a build that fits my need? ( preferably under 700 but 750$ BIG max & wants to play bf3, not looking forward to see how can I push my PC to his limit and shit just wanna play Games at a Ok/Good Fps ( battlefield 3,css, minecraft, and maybe some future game like need for speed most wanted, gta 5 ) would really appreciate it if you could do that, seeing as I really don't know anything in computers. Though, I have a question, the Build i've posted earlier in this thread, is it bad? If I buy it, will I be able to play BF3 at ATLEAST medium settings with ok/good fps?

As I said earlier, Graphics card is going to be your biggest decider on which games to play.

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113285 This would make a good CPU and should run GTA5 (If it comes out) with most NPC settings maxxed.

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128519 Looks like a suitable mobo. Good reviews and shoould be able to do what you need.

Everything else is up to you really. Case doesn't even matter some sort of 4x2gb ram setup and a power supply to match your gfx card. I'd wait though seeing as how AMD and Nvidia will be releasing new cards around christmas. Any of the new cards they release should be able to run just about any game maxxed out seeing as how the 7xxx and 6xx series cards are doing well.

You also have to realize that new cards are released about every 9 months. So you can either wait a few more and get a new series of card which will perform better for less or pick up a 7950 or 670 now which would also do well for a few years.

Alright thanks, i'll check this out, but, since i'm buying my PC during the Cyber Monday&Black Friday, I guess prices will drop on neweggs which will make thing easier for me to be in my budget, If this combo comes under my budget, do you think I should get it? http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1069085 ??

RE: Want to build a PC [Need Help] - HoboBob - Oct 28 2012

If the deal drops, yeah sure that would work. I'd try to find something with a SSD though and take your old HDD and use it as extra storage. Do you still have your old PC components?
