answer is 2 btw.

how about this

9503 =?

RE: Solve This Math Problem!!! - Moriarty - Jul 23 2013

9503 = 2

20 minutes, because I tried to find logical explanation, and then I read the text again, and started thinking what would kids look for to get it solved in 5-10 minutes.

RE: Solve This Math Problem!!! - Hostage - Jul 23 2013

1 = 0
2 = 0
3 = 0
4 = 1
5 = 0
6 = 1
7 = 0
8 = 2
9 = 1

9503 ==> 1+0+1+0=2

In less than 2 mins. omg Im not a pre-school child. :p

I have this written on the piece of paper in front of me, except for 8 and 9 which was gonna be my next thing to check, but I went back to the text of this problem before I matched the numbers because I felt like I was spending extra time on something kids wouldn't. I think you must be a genius to solve it using the longer loop in 2 minutes or you used google.

There is some inconsistency in his post ruplayer, because 9 should be equal to 1.

my teacher showed me this, it's 2. It really took me the entire class to understand haha.

Nah , I just use my brain.

In less than 120 seconds. I didn't say it's impossible, just said you must be very smart.

Happens all the time, you know. 120 sec to solve the problem, 10 more seconds to type it in.

20 it wasn't that hard.

A2+A2+A-A2=A2+A
A2+A2-A2=A2+A-A
A2=A2

Here I mathematically proved why it is 20. Something kids learn in Russia at age 11. I also doubt that 73% of people are that stupid.

....in here 73% might be true because some kids don't have proper schools. but I guess we gamers play too much puzzles that we can easily do this.
everyone answered 20, but the pic says 73% ppl get this wrong, so I asked that retard.

Here is another Math problem:
9 balls. They all have the same shape, color, etc. The only difference is that one of the balls is a little bit heavier than the rest, by so little, that you can't even tell. The rest 8 are equal. You have a classic scales like the ones in the picture. You can only use the scales twice to figure out which ball is heavier. Go ahead.
[Image: clip4423.jpg]

this one is very interesting. I think I've heard of this puzzle before but I could only make it in 3 scales. so I analyzed the puzzle again. feels good I did it this time. here's my answer:
.divide the balls by 3 equally. you'll get 3 balls of 3.
.put any 2 groups on the scales and spare 3 balls.
-If the left/right one is heavier(I mean it's lower), take those 3 balls(heavier) and pulverize the rest 6
-If the left & right scales are equal, throw them away and take the 3 balls you spared.
you now have 3 balls which are heavier than the others when grouped up.
.put any 2 balls on the scales and spare the other one.
-If the left one is heavier, that's the ball you've been looking for.
-If the right one is heavier, that's the ball you've been looking for.
-If neither of those are heavier, the ball you've been looking for is the one you spared.

10-15 mins.
wow.
the easiest way to knowing it is by looking at repeating numbers. they shouldn't have shown repeating numbers.
1111=0
0000=4
2222=0
3333=0
5555=0
7777=0
9999=4
i noticed that 0 and 9 have round edges, but that wasn't it.
and I also noticed that you can't just randomly hit keys to make the problems, like 10873450264264580467542. do you know why?

i know a problem similar to this. but with a hint that states:
earth is round.
then followed by the numbers.
earth is round. 633757527= 1
earth is round. 1030206122263= 5
