P.S fuck that kid he totally deserved it.
Edit-apparently it wasn't the wild, it was clan wars. Same basic principle.

I suppose its like minecraft. The gameplay makes up for the bad graphics, interface what not.
The last non graphically appealing game I tried to play was Commandos.

back in the day, 2004-2007, it was the best free to play game available. Could spend hundreds of hours on it and still have ways to go. Tons of quests, lots of rare gear and loot to obtain, skills to level up, people to meet, people to kill in the wilderness, etc... But I grew out of it when I was 10, a lot of people didn't haha
