*cough* hi - Bert John - Jan 18 2016 hi... Yeah... i havent posted in ages, Havent played too much online stuff due to ping/connection issues. anyways im creeping out from my hole due to GPU fan is failing or beginning to anyways. Thus i decided to upgrade slightly due to budget limitations. Nothing fancy but something just to up what i got already and not break pockets. Oh i already found the GPU in mind but id like to confirm it with others that it will fit inside and won't run into complications. Now, For my system: Operating System Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit SP2 CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.00GHz 34 °C Wolfdale 45nm Technology RAM 2.00GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 401MHz (5-5-5-18) Memory slots Total memory slots 4 Used memory slots 2 Free memory slots 2 Memory Type DDR2 Size 2048 MBytes Channels # Dual DRAM Frequency 401.3 MHz CAS# Latency (CL) 5 clocks RAS# to CAS# Delay (tRCD) 5 clocks RAS# Precharge (tRP) 5 clocks Cycle Time (tRAS) 18 clocks Command Rate (CR) 2T Physical Memory Memory Usage 55 % Total Physical 2.00 GB Available Physical 907 MB Total Virtual 4.23 GB Available Virtual 2.54 GB SPD Number Of SPD Modules 2 Slot #1 Type DDR2 Size 1024 MBytes Manufacturer Corsair Max Bandwidth PC2-6400 (400 MHz) Part Number CM2X1024-6400 Week/year 09 / 09 Timing table Frequency CAS# Latency RAS# To CAS# RAS# Precharge tRAS tRC Voltage JEDEC #1 270.3 MHz 4.0 4 4 13 15 1.800 V JEDEC #2 400.0 MHz 5.0 5 5 18 22 1.800 V Slot #2 Type DDR2 Size 1024 MBytes Manufacturer Corsair Max Bandwidth PC2-6400 (400 MHz) Part Number CM2X1024-6400 Week/year 09 / 09 Timing table Frequency CAS# Latency RAS# To CAS# RAS# Precharge tRAS tRC Voltage JEDEC #1 270.3 MHz 4.0 4 4 13 15 1.800 V JEDEC #2 400.0 MHz 5.0 5 5 18 22 1.800 V Motherboard ASUSTeK Computer INC. But i cant right now so im just changing GPU's & Upping my RAM. Now, The GPU i had in mind and got recommend via reddit/r/buildapc/ was the GeForce 730 GT 1GB Low profile Link here: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487051 And ram should fit but ill list it anyways: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146057 Note: I do know that the system WILL probably lower the current ram speeds to compensate for the mushkin ram pieces but the greater amount of RAM will help greatly so i find that acceptable. What id like to know is if this will: Fit into the PC Correctly in the back slot, Fit into the motherboard. I got a 500w power supply so it should be good to run in this PC as is since it uses 300W and 9600 gt supposedly uses 400W. Lastly, I uploaded some photo's of the PC to give you can idea of what it looks like inside due to the fact i don't know what the case is like: http://imgur.com/a/3sGPD Also that cat is my cat, Kitten. Resolution on the photo's is great isn't it, 6mb per file took forever to upload on 0.3 upload. Specifications: Case: 19 inchs long, 18 inchs tall, 8 inchs wide. GPU: 9 inchs long, 1 inch tall, ??? Wide(I didnt bother to measure that) RE: *cough* hi - Sibrox - Jan 19 2016 We almost have identical setups only diference is I have E8600 OCed at 3.5ghz and 8400 GS 512 MB DDR2. Welcome back |
