The contents of a hot dog are homogeneous. Everything has been ground up into a bland-looking paste.
The contents of a sausage are not homogeneous. The parts are chopped up small, but you can still distinguish that they are composed of many different things.

i didnt like hot dogs tbh, i like sausage better, i would eat them with pizza they are tasty.
but the hot dogs sandwich is epic not the taste but how it looks lol
