Took me a couple mins.

Weigh 3 v 3 of the balls against each other:
If one side is heavier, weigh two of those balls against each other to again see if one is heavier.
If the original 3v3 balances, weigh two of the remaining 3 balls against each other.
If the scale tips either way in 1v1, you have your ball. If not, you know it is the last ball remaining.

U, because 7 ate 9, therefore logic states that the table I'm writing on is chocolate, which may or may not defy logic that E = MCsquared, but if you put fish into 1+1, then take a grenade and throw it in a bucket, you'll get a nice little U, with a bonus apple. Chum is fum.
