because from the 1:00 position it then goes 59 58 57 etc downwards in seconds hence 2:00 on a microwave is bascially 1:20 and 1:20 is the same as 2:00. the first digit in the clock is the minute counter and and the second two places are for seconds.
That's like more noobish than PaSS :o
60 secs + 60 secs = 2 mins or 120 secs
maybe hes confused with 120 for 1 minute and 20 secs(which is 80 secs) that should be 120 secs.
