Here's what's happening: usually a map never gets more than half the votes during a mapvote, so it'll end up being something like:
- assault (7 votes)
- italy (5 votes)
- office (5 votes)
- other maps (1 or 2 votes each)
This means that even though assault is the map with the most votes (so it's very logical it gets chosen) it doesn't get more than 50% of the total votes. So then when an admin launches a vote asking "do you want to change the map?", evidently more than half the players will vote "yes" (even more so when the choice is conveniently in first position...). But guess what? The same thing would happen on any other map. Yet this is the typical excuse when an admin changes the map: "they voted yes".
Actually, admins shouldn't even be allowed to launch a mapvote. I mean, give me one situation that would call for a mapvote? If we're on this map it's because people voted for it. If people want to change the map then they can rtv. Simple as that.
So please, if you decide to leave assault on the server (and you should, it can be fun when both teams aren't camping) then DO NOT CHANGE IT EVERY TIME IT GETS SELECTED.
