No one was around. The servers should be updated now.

yes you can. if they cant help support the developers and spend $20 on a game, then screw them. they can be inconvenienced. and if their country doesn't support steam, then too bad  ;D

I think we'd lose at least half of our population if we didn't have non-steamers.

Not sure where you're getting these numbers. It would definitely vary based on server. I saw 24/7 Office hit 30 players with nonsteam disabled. I saw Popular Maps hit 40 players with nonsteam disabled.  :o

Yeah, yesterday, when only non steamers could play the game, we had - 2 people on popular maps, 5 people office, 15-20 people dust 2. So Only dust 2 has close to 50% non steamers, the rest of the servers have 90% people on steam running legit version. + There were a few smart ass people like me who didn't quit the game so it won't get updated/or disabled auto update.
