These people who find "Child Porn" is a "Turn on" have rights, don't they?
Their no different from the Homosexuals (Gay People), who have their own Sexual way of life.
Since you accept certain form of pervert-ism, you should have no problem with other forms of Pervert-ism. or what?
Umm... These people are very different from Homosexuals? Because no child volunteers for pornography - they're forced. If two homosexuals want to have consensual sex that's completely different. There is a huge difference between someone who's attracted to the same sex and a pedophile. There are no pedophiles in the animal kingdom, but virtually all mammals have some homosexual members of the species.
EDIT: And to be quite honest, calling homosexuals perverts is completely homophobic and messed up.
The good thing is that our servers are in Cali, and we will be banning according Cali Penal code. =)

Yep, that's what I already said earlier, but seems mindhacker missed it...

At least i know I'm not homophobic. I really like my house. :-\
George, Of The Jungle Wrote:Should just viewing child porn be illegal? (it's not the act itself) On the other hand: it's been long known that a lot of people who search for and watch child porn will eventually try to commit an act of pedophilia.
I think given the seriousness of the matter, it's wise to make/keep watching child porn illegal as well.
That's a generalization and likely an opinion of yours, and doesn't necessarily mean anything, nor is it in anyway verifiably true. It would be like saying something along the lines of: it's been long known that a lot of people who support and tolerate same-sex marriages are those who actively engage in the activity, plan to engage in the activity, or will eventually engage in the activity. Think about that statement for a second. :-X

The phrasing is probably too strong, but I remember reading articles about studies that show a clear correlation between child porn offenses and pedophilia.
Nor am I an expert on the matter, but think about your statement for a second. You used the word "a lot" which doesn't really give a clear indication of how many people seeked out the child porn and how many actually committed the act after doing so. What exactly does "a lot" mean? It's a comparative statement and it's true meaning can vary person to person. It could be 0.01% of the total which is a fairly small percentage, but taken out of a large enough pool of people could equate to hundreds of thousands of people, and that is definitely a lot of people imo. Additionally, most studies should be looked at with a grain of salt. Where exactly are they getting these numbers from? Are these numbers coming from people who were busted for pedophilia or caught viewing pedophilia at work or in the public? If those are the sources then you'll obviously come out with an extremely biased result. :o
Honestly, most adults know how to differentiate fantasy and reality. There are other sick themes in the porn industry (rape incest). That doesn't necessarily mean they'll act out what they see in porn.
Having said that, I still feel that the viewers of CP should be punished because they're THE market that these CP distributors are providing for.
Yeah I think there's a huge difference between watching a video on the internet and going out and raping a kid. That's not to say that watching that type of pornography won't make that person want to do it even more though
