Everyone interested would join the discord https://discord.gg/VQZCbr (on channel CS:S #1), the event starts at 20:00 etz / 19:00 ctz/ 18:00 mtz / 17:00 ptz (ideally arrive a good 5 or 10 minutes before that).

Teams would be selected within the first 10 minutes by a draft of the players present (Number of team or the number of players per team will depend on the amount of players obviously). Captains will be the highest rws players.

If there is not enough players we could make a bo5 with the players present or in other words competitive pugs . And if by some miracle we have way too many players, we could simply double the format or introduce a group stage (but the second option would be very time consuming).

The goal is to have everything done within 4 hours.

I'll be online from about 18:00 etz, if anyone got questions and to spam the pug servers/steam/forum to remind everyone it is happening today.

Double elimination with upper and lower bracket.

Match 1 - Seed 1 vs Seed 4 (Loser goes to lower bracket)

Etiquette
You must behave professionally during the tournament since it's meant to be serious. No whining about registry, p90, teammates, strategy, cheating, etc or starting flame wars/arguments during matches. No forfeiting or ragequitting matches either. Even if it's 15-0, you're expected to finish every match.

Pauses
Each player on a team can pause the match once for 60 seconds. Pauses can be extended by having a teammate or opponent use their pause. Do not use !pause unless you need to use it (strategy, emergency bathroom, internet drop, etc). In general, it's better to take bathroom breaks during half time than using !pause. Pauses take place during freezetime or the next round's freezetime.

Gameplay
Typical league rules are also in effect. This means certain gameplay isn't permitted, such as:

certain spots (de_train, de_tuscan, etc). The boosts on de_inferno are fine.
crouch spamming (standing and ducking repeatedly and rapidly on bomb or gun fights).
illegal defuses (you must have clear line of sight. obviously excluding barrels/teammates/flashes/smokes)
Standard War-Lords rules apply for areas not covered here.

Failure to abide by these rules will result in bans from future War-Lords events in addition to an in-game ban.

Based on the player pickups we have a total of 5 teams for this year tournament.

⦁ Game 4 on-wards will be Best of 3 games.

THE FINALS WILL BE BETWEEN THE WINNERS OF THE UPPER AND LOWER BRACKET.

General reminder:

All players of the playing team should be in the server (to be given/determined by Crusader) at least 10 minutes before the start of the match. Another 10-minute grace period will be given from the start of the match time IF some players are yet to connect.

A minimum of four (4) players are needed to play a match. If a team or teams have less than 5 members, they can either proceed with the match as 5v4, or forfeit.

Asia Player Draft Tournament

WL Asia will be organizing a Draft tournament from 08/05/2020 to 10/05/2020.ALL matches take place from Friday May 8th to Sunday May 10th,from 3 pm -11 pm SGT. Participants are expected to play every team during this time. Make sure you're available on these three days and times before registering.

This is a draft tournament. The highest RWS participants will be team captains. Team captains will choose a player every round of picking until teams are full. Picking order is 1,2,3,4:4,3,2,1 to ensure balanced teams .

MAP-POOL:- de_dust2,de_cplstrike,de_cache,de_season,de_nuke,_de_inferno,de_tuscan

There will be a minimum of 4 teams (20 players).

TOURNAMENT FORMAT:-

It will be a Double Elimination tourney with a upper and lower bracket.

The tournament will be in a double elimination format, meaning that your team needs to lose twice in order to be eliminated from the tournament.

Register your teams here. Teams are allowed to have 5 players and 2 subs, max. This also means that you do not necessarily require subs and can register with only 5 players.
I will need your team captains to post your team name, team members, and the team steam group. The first person in your listing of your team members must be the captain and the last two must be your subs.
The cutoff for registering teams is 11/1/17.
If you need a team, post your ign, your rws, and the link to your pug profile/stats here and I will put you down as a free agent. Keep in mind that this does not guarantee you a position in the tournament.
The cutoff for registering as a free agent is 11/3/17. We currently have 9 agents, we are currently looking for 1 more player. If no one else signs up, I will try to put the extra free agents on teams that need subs. If not, I will have to drop them. Drops will be determined by time of registration.
Free agent team will be created and posted here by the weekend of 11/4 - 11/5.

I reserve the right to add or remove players, depending on the amount of players registered, to ensure that as many people as possible will be able to participate. Standard tournament rules also apply. See rules from previous tournaments here.

Each player on a team can pause the match once for 60 seconds. Pauses can be extended by having a teammate or opponent use their pause. Do not use !pause unless you need to use it (strategy, emergency bathroom, internet drop, etc). In general, it's better to take bathroom breaks during half time than using !pause. Pauses take place during freezetime or the next round's freezetime.

Gameplay
Typical league rules are also in effect. This means certain gameplay isn't permitted, such as:

certain spots (de_train, de_tuscan, etc). The boosts on de_inferno are fine.
crouch spamming (standing and ducking repeatedly and rapidly on bomb or gun fights).
illegal defuses (you must have clear line of sight. obviously excluding barrels/teammates/flashes/smokes)

Standard War-Lords rules apply for areas not covered here.

Failure to abide by these rules will result in bans from future War-Lords events in addition to an in-game ban.

Summer Tournament Thread/Registrations

War-lords will be hosting a Tournament in July (7th to 9th and 14th to 16th). The Tournament will be hosted on the Central private servers. We would like to have up to 16 teams to play in it. Registering for a slot will come from a first come first serve basis. This tournament is free to enter. All that is required of you is for your team to turn up to matches in the scheduled time (or default).

Prize for the winning team : donator status + 1/2 of the donation pot and being a member of the (wL) CSS Champions group.

Group Stage :

During the Group Stage, teams will be split into their groups according to the average RWS of the 5 starting members. Teams will play a best of 1 (Double elimination). Normal Tournament rules are in place. Maps and sides will be chosen through veto. 1 Match per day (7th to 9th)

Knockout Stage:

Knockout Stage will be a Best out of 3 Games. Maps will be chosen through Veto. Teams will arrange a time to play. Normal Tournament rules are in place. Finals Will be Playing a Best of 3 with each team vetoing maps again. 1 bo3 per day (14th to 16th)

Maps

Maps Pool: Dust2, Inferno, Nuke, Season, Cache, Tuscan, Cpl Strike (other map if both team agrees prior to match)

+ de_train, de_contra and de_russka for bo3 (Quarter and +) and bo5 (Finale).

Rules:

1. Teams will have to consist of at least 5 members . There can be only 2 backup/sub per team to maximize the teams number.
2. Teams will have to play the match against their opposition on the scheduled date (or default). Failure to do so will result in a forfeit of the Game.
3. A player can register to only 1 lineups.
4. You can edit your Line-ups until the registration period is over.
5. There will be no spectators in the server. Only way to watch the match is through SourceTV. This will prevent ghosting from spectators. (There will be an admin online to set the server up.)
6. There will be a ping limit of 250.
7. Only players with at least 2 months played here in the last year can register for the tournament (or reliable esea and league history).
8. The Standard War-lords Rule will also be applied.

Etiquette
You must behave professionally during the tournament since it's meant to be serious. No whining about registry, p90, teammates, strategy, cheating, etc or starting flame wars/arguments during matches. No forfeiting or ragequitting matches either. Even if it's 15-0, you're expected to finish every match.
