Your argument is valid. But with time, music changes, additions are added, new things are created. You can consider it as "New age dubstep"


You say Skrillex is shit, and it's not dubstep, I can agree with you on one part. That it is NOT exactly dubstep, maybe it  has some similarities, but honestly, Skrillex should be put into  it's own category, It's not like anything else, and is original. It may be shit to you, because everyone calls it dubstep.

i know that... i listen to pink Floyd,Ozzy,Black Sabbath,Lead Zeppen, Metallica i mean that is where real music is. people call me old for listening to music like that. it just means that i'm old school.

But that's the thing. It's called "dubstep" because its a mix between 2-step (not 2-step hardcore, more like breakbeat 2-step) and dub reggae (PROPER dub reggae). So you can't call it "new age dubstep" because it has nothing to do with dub or 2step. You'd have to think of a completely new name. It's not the music that pisses me of at all. I don't mind Skrillex (I preferred him when he was just Sonny Moore), I just hate everyone relating him (and he relating himself) to dubstep.

EDIT : Also, you understand why I posted those 3 videos, right? You can see what is actually a development, and what is just something that's gone so far from the original that it's nothing to do with it anymore? If you can't hear it, you probably should just cut your ears off, because you're obviously bad at listening

I hate dubstep.  I just recently heard of it, in the past couple months, and I was not pleased at all with the discovery.  For info on what I do like, see that 'music =D' or whatever it's called thread.  Chau.
