Once every summer solstice the points should be reset. no more than that.

Well, 3 of the top 10 are admin; 3 try to balance the maps; 1 is a rehab map stacker; 2 are 50/50 map stackers (i.e. no admin on they stack); 1 always map stacks.  Most of the time there is an admin on and the 3 that balance will ask the admin to switch.  don't see why they would need a team swap option.  It would be nice if you broke the top 10 (or 5) you could only chose a certain team on certain maps.

I say zero out the scores.  If possible start a historic stat tracker that keeps overall stats.  I don't see many of the top20 leaving because there are relatively few servers that allow awps and consistently have a high player count.

I think that in general the servers will lose popularity due to two psychological matters.

- The regulars including the top10 players, will feel like they've got a mission accomplished, and they will stop playing, and start seeking top positions on other servers excluding WL.
- Others that visit the servers Regularly will try to be in the Top10 but they'll probably stop knowing that eventually they'll lose their positions.

But that's just my opinion of course.

exactly, i remember waking up early in the morning and going to bed late at night to gain points and rank, and that's true man about people will leave because the time that they spent was useless and just for nothing.

as much as the ''reset-points operation'' is good, you guys made me think over and over again, so yeah.. leave it as it is..

you can reset all people's points, BUT NOT MINE!!!!!!! what's the purpose of this competition will be? peetah is #3 in popular maps, and now it became competition for me since I'm #4 now and he is leading by 150 points, why do we need to create another competition if there is one already?

There is basically no chance for new people to catch up.

When i played on the HighTimes servers they used to reset the points everytime someone would get to 15k and the top 3 would get reserved slots. I think that we should do something along the lines of this, it would make it way more fun to really have a chance to be in the top instead of never being able to unless you play 24/7 if your new.

lol that's why these low points people gain 25 points per kill and if they play a lot, if they play like 2 hours per week, then they don't make much of the progress  :-X
