I can break it down in simple terms if anyone is interested...step by step

You can do alot more with your phone when its rooted

well one benefit is wi fi tethering

you can use your phones internet as a wi fi hotspot on MOST phones after rooting

I can already use mine as a wifi hot spot without rooting. What phone are you using?
