It's very hard for people to get in the top10/top20 if they start playing now. Even if you're really good and get a high kdr, it won't be enough. You have to play countless hours to get in there, no matter how good you are. If the ranking gets reset, people will start at an equal rank, making it more fair.

I don't get the fuss about rank anyway, it's so trivial, and far more an indication of playtime than skill.

Then i guess if they want to make it into the top20 they should spend some time working on it . Like i am trying to do right now.

You can keep a monthly reset, or something like that.

But when I want to see my global status, I want to see my gameMe for my lifetime stats in the server. Not only does it demonstrate where I've come, it also shows that I have dedicated a long time to the server.

I can't seen an option for this.

To be honest when I saw this thread all I could think to myself was "crap there goes my 30k kills" but if you guys were to reset JUST POINTS and keep the Kills and Deaths, I support this 100%!

is there a deadline for this vote? and when matt will start the process?

Ok the reset jobs have been scheduled for the 1st of August (2012/08/01) and every 6 months after that.
