Alright guys, if you've been reading on my last thread about the Black Ops II Winter Bracket Qualifier at http://war-lords.net/threads/cod-bo2-win...ier.10208/ then you know that the Open Brackets are closed now and it's on to the Championship! I haven't had the chance to go through all the matches but from what I've seen at the new Championship match-up list, it's going to be brutal.

If you've ever played Call of Duty or been in a tournament/championship at all, you would know of the name Optic (Optic Gaming), which has been the lead Call of Duty clan for the past couple years. Of course they are also in this tournament which makes competition for the underdogs very rough and painful. However, there are a number of great clans in the match-up list like EnvyUs, Complexity, SoaR, and Fear, just to name a few. Now I've had the pleasure to play against a few members of Envy, Complexity, and Fear. Needless to say they are great clans even when they loss. Would have definitely loved to play in the Championship with my clan from back in the day who just so happened to be 2.5 years undefeated during MW2. Although, with this match-up, even I wouldn't think that we'd last long especially with Optic Gaming on the roster dominating on just about every leaderboard there is known to man.
Now I don't know when it's supposed to actually start, I think at 3pm Pacific Time. So if you're interested in this and want to watch live streams, just go to the Call of Duty Championship link above and click on their link for live streaming or videos of games that have already played. Enjoy!
Well the Championship is now over and those who many of us would win (Optic Gaming) ultimately came in 3rd place. It was EnVyUs vs Fariko Impact who battled it out for the #1 spot and grand total of $400,000 winning prize. Details here at https://elite.callofduty.com/news/xbox/404, take a look if you're interested to see the final standings in both the Upper and Lower Brackets. The Championship ultimately went into overtime through fierce battle strategies and epic defense positioning which all teams showed great skill and promise in. Unfortunately, for all those players, none of it could match up against Fariko Impact. Honestly, I never heard of those guys at all. It really surprised me when they beat Optic Gaming in Round 2 of the Upper Brackets and Round 6 of the Lower Brackets. Am thoroughly impressed with their gameplay.
