Eh, you can simplify it like that if you want. Metal music also loves to explore themes that satan is representative of, such as hate, greed, war, genocide, chaos, destruction, nihilism, lust and etc...


And yea I do know Opeth... they were probably the first band I got into with harsh vocals. All of their recent stuff is lame though.
