Just by googling, it looks like you can't really do much unless you do jail break it.

I have been thinking about jail breaking my iphone 4s, but there are some downsides of it, such as less stability etc. It is legal, but apple wont give you warranty if the phone screws up.

Just google it, thats all I did, there is so much info in regards to this, and if you want to jail break it, there is heaps of instructions out there
