All jokes aside I had planned on buying a motorcycle last year but a bizarre chain of events made me change my mind. Two of my old high school buddies died in motorcycle accidents a week apart from each other. I also witnessed myself not one, not two, but THREE fucking accidents involving motorcycles which resulted in fatalities. Hooray for Los Angeles drivers! The last one actually happened this past week in front of me at a big intersection where I work. The security cameras actually caught it too so I watched some replays (i know i'm wicked). There was an ambulance stopped at the red light as the events unfolded and they were able to get to the guy in about 10 seconds to treat him. He was conscious when they put him in the ambulance but he was shrieking so loud that it's still stuck in my head. The poor kid died on the way to the hospital :/ 

The accident was completely his fault though, there were 3 cars at the light making a left turn, waiting for the cross traffic to finish so they could go in. That guy came at about 30-40mph from the middle lane, cut across those 3 cars and made his left turn. I guess he didn't see the old man in the Mercedes S550 coming straight at him from ahead and he got tossed about 15 ft in the air and landed about 40 ft away in a gas station at the corner of the intersection, right at some poor girls feet. Shit was intense. Never getting on a motorcycle...

All jokes aside? I wasn't kidding. I really want someone to buy me that. 100% Disclosure.

Sorry to hear about that. My best friend died on a motorcycle, so I completely understand. I've owned 4 motorcycles and had my share of close calls as well. There are certain things you can do as a motorcyclist to insure minimal risk while riding (such as, not cutting across 3 cars to make a left turn).

There's a certain high you get from riding, it's indescribable, and I'm completely and full addicted to it.
