Hi, i'm new here. I'm just wondering how the matchmaking works, how many players are in a match, and how to join one. I've already seen the warmup servers, but i don't know how the main mm works. Could someone explain it to me?

server is in warmup mode until 10 players join, then a vote is started for either auto-balanced teams or captains-based teams (like picking teams in school).

auto balanced gives a somewhat more balanced experienced but captains is the shit.

10 players in a match 5v5 bo30 just like csgo comp

join one of the 3 servers, see top of website [servers] -> [server list] for IPs

once youre in, if less than 10 just join a team and be patient  

if more than 10, type .sub to join the queue and open console if youre curious your sub position.
