Hey Jack, looking at your previous posts, I can tell that you are looking forward to CS:GO as much as I am. I saw that in part of the commentary and interviews the fact that it was so overpowered is what they talked about. The recoil and spreads I'm sure were also discussed with these guys. I have a feeling that Valve listened to every word that was said by both. You will see some changes before the beta is released. I’m pretty sure that it’s the reason that they are delaying the release of the beta.

Yeah, they will change it.  It is going to also be a real beta and not a demo beta.  A wider beta should start fairly soon and I am predicting it could be in beta until spring of next year.  I wasn't so excited for it originally because of how terrible CS:S is right now.  Orange Box really killed the speed of the game and I have had it uninstalled for a few weeks now.  But since they are really building the engine around CS:GO this time, I feel it should be better.  They should have done this from the start instead of messing with CS:S.  I also feel like they are listening to the right people this time around.  When Orange Box CS:S was in beta, there were so many idiot telling them what to do.  The only people playing the beta were people that didn't have counter-strike and were playing because the beta was free.  So they just had a bunch of people whining because the game was too hard.

I didn't realize this. I just had it in my game list because I have steam cs. If it was just a bunch of new players for free club, it wouldn’t surprise me.

You should have seen me arguing on those the steampowered forums like a madman.  I understand getting a fresh perspective and all, but not on a game that is almost 7 years old.  Loved having people with 4 posts and just joined the forums telling me that I am wrong about the game when it clearly says that I joined the forums in 2004 under my name...
