Need some help configuring a Scrim server
#1
I just ordered a 11slot scrim server for my soon to be team to practice on(probably IRC scrims).

Could any of you guys guide me? I roughly know how to manage servers but not scrim servers.

Anyway here's the list of stuff I have installed at the moment:
Z-block
CAL CS:S Maps
Cevo CS:S Configs
Cevo CS:S Maps
ECO League Maps
ECO League Configs

What exactly do I do now? How do I lo3? o.O

I mean I read up, it said all I have to do was to set zv_warmode 1 and zb_lo3 whenver I want to lo3. Do I have to run any configs when I type in zb_lo3?

Also, how do I stop a scrim? Whats the difference between cevo-ot.cfg and cevo.cfg?

Thanks Big Grin

I can try and help you out. I would prefer that we did it over voice instead of typing everything. Do you have a mic?
To answer one of your questions, the ot stands for overtime.

Also, if you want to host scrims through irc against the serious tryhards you can't have any mods like sourcemod on there because they will call foul.

Pretty much just zblock and the configs. The lo3 would be ran using rcon.

This should get you started here.

To run the commands do this:
rcon_password your_rcon_password
rcon changelevel de_dust2 (Or whatever map you want)
rcon exec cevo;rcon zb_lo3

I actually figured it out, after doing a lot of googling Tongue

zblock.cfg:
zb_matchconfig "cevo.cfg"
zb_deadvoice "1"

then I just rcon zb_lo3.

That would be fine right?

Some people are really picky about sticking with the stock cevo.cfg and might cry about the deadvoice. I don't really see the difference between that and using TS3 though.

Glad you got it going though. Have fun.
