Today I realized that I am a surviver of the apocalypse .

got on a bus to NYC, got stopped for 4hrs at the US border, we ended up arriving in NYC at 11am instead of 7am.... had to take a bunch of trains and now i'm at my brother's place.

in other news, im just gonna post this here. it's an email to my friend from the director of Solin Residences at McGil Uni.

E-mail from the director of Solin:

Hi derpa,

A couple of Solin staff people went to all rooms Friday to check that windows were closed and that the heat was at the right temperature during the break. They let us know that there is a large snake living in your room, and also that it smells of pot smoke.

I mostly want to just write to confirm: your snake will not starve over the break? You probably know that you are not allowed to have pets in the building. What this means to us is that we do not want to know about this pet––please make sure he does not get out and that he does not bother anyone.

With regards to the smell: please be aware that you can be fined at the end of the year for this, as the room will need extra cleaning.
