Sorry to say, the reason they are doing all these changes is because they are listening to still almost 200k people playing CSS and dislike CSGO, otherwise they wouldn't have bothered with all these changes. They wanted a new feel, and it didn't work out, and now they are trying to iron it into what I feel could work eventually.
I lurk hltv, vakarm, esea, csgo reddit, and yea tons of people are bitching but theyre bitching just as much as they were back in css and in the original when big updates happened. Everyone knows it has flaws, but the latest blog NiP released a few days ago confirmed that Valve are working on EVERY issue people are complaining about, and that they are working on the movement and the glock right now more than anything.
Also the first year of 1.0 and css were just as flawed as the first year of csgo, that's for sure.
I would agree with you if GO would have worked, but it didn't work, and here we are today, them trying to work the mechanics from the bottom up.
1.0 / 1.5 / 1.6 were buggy, when released yes. That is what people whined about, that and the different damage modifiers, but nothing as substantial or remotely close to GO's mechanics differing as much as they do from the Original Grand Daddy. Remember, CS survived, while other FPSs have crumbled and died, and it is this community that deserves and has demanded its perfection, and we won't settle for less, not even if some already have.
