The boy who sees without eyes
#11
Unique ability and near impossible to achieve hearing abilities. A physical and sensory skill yes.
I'd like to see how he thinks, practically, social, politically. I'd like to ask him, what do you have to offer society, other than just some one time newstory to distract that despairing public?
He is gifted, very gifted, but then... he impresses me only to the extent that people like him are extremely rare in society and history.
My reason here that im not totally impressed, is that Master Swordsmen Like Musashi Miyamoto(and dont come to and talk to me about him until you read his book), people who study various forms of Martial Arts, even the peaceful Buddhist monks, have the same ability without having to make any noise. People like them are so in tune with the environment, their surroundings, the people, that they can hear and equate where things are and what are those things and much more exactness, without having to make noise, and if they had to, without a visual understanding of it.This kid would be a very useless swordsman.
Then, theres the fact that is What does he want to be? where does he see himself, and why? They didn't explain that in the vid. His ability is only the tip of a much larger mental awareness and physical awareness he could achieve, he may have a partial understanding of it now. The fact that these scientists call trying to recognize a small circular tube the "outer limit" is really dumb on their part.
What a human mind can achieve is infinite, people continually limit themselves by setting an artificial societal standard, or a mental barrier by saying to themselves something's "impossible", Or by calling things a "limit." Potentially here is an eye opener that society most likely will neglect to fully account as someone who has no limits, and is infinite. He isnt God, for no one can be God. Also likely, people around him will tell him he has met some kind of standard, or is a "perfection" at his ability, and he potentially in his future, will limit himself in some way.
