Yeah like most people in the westernized countries. We are just throwing each others poop because of different brand's name of ideologies, or ways to achieve pretty much the same goals.

Like seriously, if the news, "scholars" and extremists weren't so ideological, dishonest and vitriolic about everything, im sure we could agree on 90-95% of the issues we THINK there is currently.

I don't think this is true.  In the US we have this deep tradition of 'individualism' and people tend to think that the success or failure of someone in the economy is due to their choices and their effort, however the data does not actually bare this out, yet people still hold this myth.

Maybe i phrased it wrong, english isnt my first language.

The vast majority of the population dont construct their worldview around ideologies (like people in universities or in politics claim to do).

Ask 100 000s of different persons from different region, countries and continent of the westernized world :

Do you care about our environment ?

Do you want equality of opportunity for everyone ?

Is government a necessity ?

Should we have the right to defend ourselves ?

Etc.

If we are strickly speaking about the goals, the vast vast majority of the population can find a common ground in the vast majority of the problems we think we have.

We mainly disagree on how to achieve x goals, some people want the government to do everything, others wants it to do a part of it, some wants it to do something else, others say individuals or the free market are better suited.

If we had a real honest debate on most of these things without all the ideologues lecturing everyone about how x is better then y because he likes x or was borned living in x ... but eh thats my idealist side speaking.
