Denied  Ban Appeal by Naturyl

All of the Servers -

Banned for no-smoke on War-lords Asia Office Server. I Tweaked my graphics and computer enabling me to see through smoke, within a certain range. (During this event, I killed 3 - 5 people through the smoke around Garage Stair's Window).
This has been going on since the mid-way through 2013. ( Where I found out I can see through smoke).

Otherwise, I play with all legitimacy. I can and I will disable my no-smoke even if this appeal gets denied in the end.
As of now, I learnt that cheating isn't the way to enjoy things, but getting banned today. Has proven it is something to learn from, which concludes me to say one last thing.

I apologize and promise sincerely not to use this configuration to an advantage which leads to everyone's discomfort or un-enjoyment.

With my last request, If I can't get my main account to be un-banned on War-lord's Servers, then if possible have my new account to have access to be able to go and play on the servers with my Stats to be transferred from all the servers onto the new account.

Thank you.

I leave this to roots to decide.

I don't think we have lifted any bans for Ambient Occlusion in the past. If it grants you an unfair advantage through the use of 3rd party programs, it's clearly cheating. There's a reason why leagues like ESEA have harsh penalties on "Illegal Customization".

Like Riser said, your fate is up to the roots.

To put it simply, I'd tweaked my graphics through the CS:S Settings and NVIDIA Control Panel allowing my laptop to perform better, since it can barely handle 100 fps on most servers that are packed out. If NVIDIA Control Panel is counted as a 3rd Party Program, I'm more then happy to accept the consequences of a permanent ban, and leave it at that.

It is the fact that you tweaked knowing that it will give you an cheating edge that is troublesome.

I never said it wasn't preventable, it's not something that can be "toggled" on in a jiffy, even if I have to sacrifice Performance over Graphics, I'm willing to do that and will do it.

You knowingly kept it like that for several months. Only now that you are banned are you willing to change. That is a lack of character.

Call it what you want, I'm sure we've all made mistakes that we are wanting to forget.

Cheating in online video games, is the lowest possible thing to do. I take no pity if the ban isn't lifted.

Judging by your attitude, I'm going to say no to this appeal. From the looks of it, you are only sorry you got caught.
