I deleted my CS:S config folder earlier because i was trying to fix my crosshair and google told me that was the fix. Now my CS:S won't work. The folder was supposed to recreate itself but it didn't lol.

Somebody please upload their config folder for me asap plz. Thanks.

I mean, it makes sense dude. None of the cmd's in the console worked, so i was trying to just get my settings back to default. When i deleted it it was supposed to recreate itself default when i ran CS again, but my idea didn't work lol. Thanks a bunch tho dude.

Edit: Put your config in my folder and i'm still getting "Steam validation rejected" i already updated it to .61 and it was working earlier till i deleted my config =/ fml can anybody help?

Make sure you install the MasterServers.vdf file. Thats pretty much the only reason it would be doing that.

Just curious, but which config folder did you delete? If you are just now getting the validation error, and you used to not get it, sounds to me like you deleted platform/config. But there are several more config files throughout the folders. Anyway, i mess with my crosshair like everyday lol so just tell me what settings you want for it (like having it super thick or like 4 pixels small. lol).

Thanks xFerior, i just decided to completely reinstall and it's working perfectly fine. What are the commands to change the crosshair size and thickness and everything? And what do you recommend as best to use? I'm completely noobing it up right now lol.

and then
cl_crosshairscale

and then put a number between 1-9999
The default is 1200 so just experiment with it. The higher you go, the smaller it gets. Mine is at 2200 right now and i seem to quite like it.

cl_legacy_crosshairscale 1 is an unknown command and i tried it exactly like this "cl_crosshairscale 1800" (minus the quotes) and it did nothing (didn't say unknown command tho) hmmm.. I also changed my crosshair size to Auto-Size in Options and it still didn't help. FUck.
