1ms, 144hz, questions

Hey team,

I got a new PC a couple months ago and a swag graphics card and I’m realizing that my monitor is what’s holding me back from 20+ rws  and a ninjas in pajamas sponsorship.

I’m looking at monitors at Amazon...  and there’s a fuck load of choices… Obviously…

What should I be looking for?

My understanding is that 1ms response time is ideal for getting the info to the screen as quickly as possible.

The 60 75 144 hz  stuff   Kind of is throwing me off.

 Questions for you guys:

What Monitor do you have currently?

If it’s rather dated, what monitor would you be interested in purchasing if you were going to upgrade?

Are there any brands that I should be wary of and avoid?

My budget is anywhere between 100 bucks and 300 bucks, maybe 350 bucks I don’t really want to spend more than that and I think that I can get a good monitor without even spending that much.

I’m sure I can post this shit on Reddit on some gaming sub Reddit but I want to see what you buggers (puggers, thanks, Siri )  are playing with/recommend .

Thanks boys!

I cant really be of much help on that topic, i still have the screen of the first pc i ever bought, its a pretty basic and very old, non hdmi screen, im still doing fine in most games i play.

That being said, having the best gear will certainly help in general, even more in newer or more demanding games.

Ive read that 75hz wasn’t worth it cause they stopped mass producing them so the price hasn’t lowered that much, that being said knowing which 144hz would be best .... good luck with that lol

Just check my 2 month stats vs. my 6 month stats.
I've only had my monitor for a month.

BenQ XL2411P (at only $200)

anything that's 1ms 144hz will be good, most popular brand are benq or asus, I've had this benq for the past 4 years now : https://www.newegg.ca/black-benq-xl-seri...6824014376 which would equal to this current version of the monitor i beleive : https://www.newegg.ca/dark-gray-benq-zow...-_-Product

I beleive the most popular ASUS one is that 1 : https://www.newegg.ca/black-asus-tuf-gam...-_-Product OR https://www.newegg.ca/p/N82E16824236313 for uncurved version.

All prices shown in the links are in CAD$
