What ports should I open for this CS:S?  Most servers are my list all over 100 latency for me with disconnects.  Trying to get that a little better by opening all the ports for this game.

I don't really think you need to have any ports open since you aren't hosting the server off of your computer, unless you are, which in that case you determine which port needs to be open.  :o


If you're talking about outgoing wise, it'd probably be these:

27010 - 27050

I most servers are on 27015 but can be anywhere in that range and the steam master server is on like 27030 or something.

Opening ports won't increase your ping. If you are able to connect to the servers they are already open. Look for other culprits to your lag.

It could just be that you don't have a local server near you.

i found that if you have not Messengers on like MSN,aim.etc it takes your ping down like 25

omm and i i found that Having like All you fav music downloaded so you can use winamp for music,then Firefox(i use it).
