anyway i agree that computer literacy(supposing typing speed dictates how proficient one is in that aspect) puts one a step ahead of others in the general workplace.

i've seen some people who are proficient in excel(utilizing pivot tables, formulas etc). Pretty much blown away.
be the best version of yourself, that's all you can do.

I barely/don't know any young (-35) people who can't type. Not saying they all type like roothacker bison over there, but (almost) all of them can at least somewhat decently.

Yeah, it's pretty crazy, you can do a lot with the Office suite. Used to teach a class at my University about it, and we used pivot tables and it helped out wonderfully for a lot of people.
