Chess players?
#1
Any chess players? If we get enough people, we can run a little tournament online and then post scores, game logs and game files for logs. Post here if you play chess, good players, casual players, beginners. If someone is willing to learn more about chess post here too.

I play casual.
A chess tourney with other war-lorders sounds like fun! Anyone else?

Is this the profile of a bear?? Hmm, I didn't know bears were capable of playing css. Don't they break the keyboard with their massive paws? This is very peculiar and requires further investigation. If this is true, no one knows what kind of risks this might hold. They might electrocute themselves, maybe they become addicted to the game causing them to neglect their parental tasks. What must become of their offspring?
I will select a team consisting of the world's foremost scientists that will go about this scientific quest in the uttermost professional manner. This taskforce will carry the name "CANBURZREALLYPLAYCOUWNTERTRIKE - HUHWHUT????". I trust upon these men a task of huge importance, the fate of bearkind may depend on it. Godspeed men, Godspeed!

I'm casual as well, but I can spend an hour on one chess problem... I like chess problems, like pazzles.

3 so far, a few more people and we can start registering.

If enough players interested we can do chess problems for all.

This is not a hard one, but one of my favorite chess problems:

White to play and win. Find the best move.

Played by Dragomarezki(black) and Hait(white) in 1992.

Rook on F,5 to F,8
after Bishop on G,7 is forced to kill that rook, white bishop on D3 moves to G6 for checkmate.

The best I could come up with in 10 minutes..
Is there something better?

Again about 10 minutes...I'd never play this aggressive normally, but it helps when I know the setup is beatable because then I just need to look at the moves that would force the opponent.

Rook on F,1 goes to F,7, which forces the black rook to capture.
White queen sacrifices on C,7 leading black queen there.
White rook moves E1 to E8 for checkmate.

PS. I have never beat Windows chess on lvl6 without undo's. o_O
