Counter-Strike Global Offensive Pre-order starts August 7th

Quote:We've all been waiting for this announcement and it is here. Valve originally announced that they would be be allowing pre-orders to run for a month before the release of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

They have now announced the official date for pre-orders and confirmed the release date. Pre-orders will start tomorrow, August 7th for PC games. You will be able to pre-order on Playstation 3 starting on August 14th.They have also confirmed the release of the game for August 21st, the same date originally announced.

They have not announced an open beta yet, but any more information we can find we will post as soon as possible. Stay tuned!

The servers are up right now and working. However with some ongoing changes and additional work been done, you might see some down time.

Has anyone paid for the pre-order that didn't have the beta to see if it gives you access to the current beta?

I pre-ordered it and I just have the game in my library but I can't download it and the beta isn't in there.
