I'm So Ticked Off With My Parents
#11
Wishing they were dead just because they didnt go to a restaurant? you should really be thankful for your parents, just think of your mom that had carried you for 9 months in her belly just to give birth to you and raised you for like 13 years then you come here and say i wish she was dead for not going to a restaurant. I will not even bother with that polll you should just read what you wrote.

Gonffs, like what the others said, your issue sounds pretty trivial to us. I'm pretty sure that it isn't trivial to you since you felt like your parents disappointed you in a way. Since you're only a teenager(13 right), this is only the beginning of the many other so-called problems that you're going to be faced with in life. But family always come first. When shit hits the fan, you'll find out that they're the only ones who you can turn to. Don't lose that.

Sidetrack:

The good thing about having a forum with a wide range age group is that the older, more matured members can act as role models for the younger ones.

This might be the internet, where trolling and joking take place, but it is also a medium for growth and development among the youths. This is even more pertinent when the youths are spending more time online nowadays.
be the best version of yourself, that's all you can do.

I don't seem to really understand, I would never consider inviting my friends to something that is meant to be a FAMILY tradition? From my understanding it's meant to be family bonding time and not social yap yap with your friends. Wishing your parents dead is pretty extreme just because you didn't get to hang out with your friends for one night.

In times to come I'm sure you will think back on these moments and wish you had more of them and wonder how silly you were (Am I showing my age here?).

In several years, you will look back at moments like these and realise how silly they are. Smile

I'm sure we, at the age of 12;13, weren't the mature people yet we are now (hehe). At that age you're not meant to be mature.

I know you just said it because you were frustrated, you're not the first person/kid to say such things, being angry. But stay away from the 'wishing your parents were dead' though. Try to think on it longer than a minute, how your life would be like if they died tomorrow.

OH MAH GOD :p
Look this thread was made when I was mad at my parents for doing something once. The point was that I was angry and I had to let loose somewhere, and you guys my family doesn't really know about so yeah. I never meant to say that I wish my parents were dead but I think my real question was.

I GOT ANGRY. The point is I don't hate my parents and wish they were dead but only SOMTIMES, on those special occasions do they just tick you off and if they do, how does that feel? That should have been the question and I'm totally sorry for the people who read this because I was really angry when I wrote it.

And look. For the people who ask me to think about not having my parents. I have thought and it would be horrible. And for the restaurant? It was with friends i've had with forever and haven't seen in a while, and when we were about to go and I was all excited and then a the last second we don't and they do. It disappointing to me, big time. Again, I love my parents and they love me but when your angry as a kid, when your really angry as a kid, you do stuff you wouldn't normally do. I am so sorry, and I don't' wish they were dead now but I did then because I was angry.

Sincerely And Utterly Sorry,

Gonffs

I'd say Gonffs was a little bit misunderstood by most of us. Of course he doesn't want his parents dead, but we all have gone through this phase in our lives. We all understand the feeling of great dissappointment followed by some impulsive statement or decision. All you have to do is take a step back from the situation and reflect.
And as Spartacus perfectly said, this is a forum with a wide range of cultures and age groups. It is a good place for anybody to discuss any problem, for I feel this community really looks out for each other.

I want to say this. This forum and this community could be so much more! We could reflect feelings, annoying times, bad times, good things, all of that and become a community that understands each other and helps look out for everyone. That's what a community is, it's a group that works together much like a tribe. We take care of each other and help each other for the purpose of the community. I declare we need a new section! "How you've been" A name like that would make this forum so much more open and together with each other. We have enough people to do this! Please people come with me to make this forum a better place!

Maybe if your reasoning for this thread wasnt so errr, just bad, there'd be a more positive reaction. Honestly yes, my Dad does tick me off sometimes with overtly harsh criticisms of screw ups i did from like 2+ years ago or more. Yet still you should go sit in a corner for writing this thread gonffs the reasoning behind it is just horribad.
