You really really really REALLY need to get into touhou!
In short story, Reimu Hakurei is the shrine maiden of Hakurei Shrine which is located near the border of Gensokyo. She is the one responsible for solving and ending many incidents within Gensokyo with help with certain individuals such as Yukari Yakumo and Marisa Kirisame except. Though Reimu is a, lets say "guardian" of Gensokyo, Yukari is actually the main guard of the entire Gensokyo border since she is located there.
