So i've always had this glitch that the MOTD shows up but its a blank box, same deal if I type in "clans" and whatnot, just a blank box. Anyone know a way to fix this ?

Try to defrag and verify the cache files.

Ive had to disable the motd from my end, i keep getting ads that try to connect and all it does is cause me to lag.

Ouch, i have a 21 latency connection, but can't understand when i enable the Motd that i keep getting weird URLs trying to connect in my console.

I just defragged and it didn't solve the problem. what do you mean by verifying the cache files ?

Go to Options>Multiplayer>Advanced>Uncheck Disable MOTDs then tadaa

and he means, right click on css in your game library and looking for verify files in every tab(not sure which)
