sv_pure 2

I think sv_pure 2 as its configured right now is just an annoyance. Essentially all it does is stop sprays and custom character models for noobs. My opinion is its better to leave people their mods and sprays and ban people that are cheating or ruining the game by hand.

sv_pure 2 isnt enough to stop the simplest of material wallhacks, it just takes some fun out of the game. You either have to use sv_pure 1 which would theoretically pull every map, model, and material down from the server every time. That comes along with no one w/ custom weapon skins being able to use them. I've heard even that can be bypassed anyways by simply setting your folders to read only amongst other ways.

There's so many admins and the best defense is a human eye, i think its safe enough to leave sv_pure at 0 anyways.

The server was set to "sv_pure 2" not only due to the potential risk of wall hacking but also for the incredible quantity of gay porn being sprayed. It's a real pain in the ass to find the people who spray that shit when the server is packed.

Wall hackers can be quite hard to spot, just trying to limit them in as much a way as possible. I'll leave it up to M. Bison since he changed it.

Maybe set up a poll whether sv_pure should be set to 0 or 2? I'd love to use my custom weapon sounds though. Big Grin

Sprays aren't really important for me.

M. Bison, how come on the war-lords server whenever you directly face a spray it doesnt tell you who it is from, like in other servers that might say "Sprayed by General M. Gibson"? That way the admins would know who it belongs to, and possibly issue a 30-minute ban or some other punishment.

"Spray Tracking/Remove and Admin Spray
SM comes with a spray tag tracker, just like Mani, simply point at a spray press “trace spray” and it will tell you who sprayed it and provide some punishment options.
Remove Spray allows you to remove a spray that you are looking at, ideal for those times when people think really nasty sprays are funny.
Admin Spray allows you to force players to use their spray, ideal for those times when you want to find out who thought using a really nasty spray was funny.
The spray options can be found in the admin menu under “Server Commands”."

SourceMod comes built in with this feature, so only the admins will be able to see which spray is for who. If you cant find the plugin, maybe you can enable this for all admins, because when i type it in console, it says this command could not be found or something like that.
