I downloaded it. It says this executable has not been packed with files and settings. Please use the PACKER TOOL. Did I download this correctly or something?

You mean the DXSDK_June10?I guess your download was not completely finished?
I haven't experience that while installing it eversince, did you try to run it as an administrator also?

If it still giving you that error, guess you have to download it again.. ;D

o.0 ndis.sys is for network something. According to google. No I haven't tried my 8500gt yet. I'm thinking of just reformatting. would that solve anything?

Oh my mistake..its kinda related to your networkcard.. ;D

Yes try first what sir M. Bison said, and if BSOD in safe mode appears then it should be a faulty hardware.

Reformatting your pc should solved all your problems though if and only if of course if all your hardwares are working as it should be.

How can you play in Safe Mode? Wouldn't that be such a small resolution? And do I go into safemode with networking? Yeah, I'll try a reformat later. I'll do the safe mode thing first.

Yup you can do safemode with networking..you can also try your 8500gt before you proceed to reformatting your pc..that way you can check if its your 9500gt really is faulty..

My idea was to reformat, then test my 8500 gt from there. So at least it's a fresh start. Is that a good idea?
