The ban is valid. There's a lot of borderline names/behavior and it's admin discretion whether or not to enforce in these situations. Basically, we're pretty lax most of the time and won't take action unless it's serious or someone complains. The admin decided to take action and you were given ample warning beforehand to change your name. Ignoring an admin is against the rules and also worthy of ban. You're supposed to comply with any "official" requests of an admin. If they go "too far" you should comply or leave until you're able to report them to me. Any and all claims of admin abuse will be thoroughly investigated and if found true the admin will be severely reprimanded. You decided to disregard server rules and it has earned you a ban.

Impersonating, ignoring or disrespecting an Admin.
